THE METEC DRIVER TRAINING COMPLEX IS APPROXIMATELY 25 ACRES AND IS A CLOSED ROAD FACILITY IN BAYSWATER NORTH.

Situated approximately 15 minutes from the Eastlink, Canterbury Rd exit — making it the perfect venue for all things motoring and many things that aren’t. You’ll find us on Colchester Rd, directly off Canterbury Rd, in Bayswater North.

Our facility provides an unparalleled setting for research driving studies. With its diverse road configurations and safe, controlled layout, METEC enables accurate testing of driver behaviour, vehicle technology, and road safety initiatives without the risks of public roads.

Film Locations

Located in the leafy east of Melbourne, close to Eastlink, our venue comes with:

5 km of private roads
Traffic intersections, traffic lights and roundabouts, and
Treed roadsides.

It’s the perfect setting for filming car scenes and outdoor shots, and we even have a grassy knoll!

At METEC, there is no need for traffic control or planning permits. All bookings are handled directly with our office, allowing you to get on with the art of filming.

As a 5km, Closed Road facility, you’ll have access to all of the usual road features including Roundabouts, Traffic Lights, Intersections and Hill Starts, without the need to apply for permits or use any traffic control measures. Onsite parking, toilet facilities, undercover shelter areas and lecture rooms are also available.
