Learner Drivers Course (For new learners)
This course is designed to introduce new drivers to road law and to learn the basics of handling a vehicle. This is carried out in the safety of our North Bayswater complex, using our off street road system as well as our lecture and video classrooms.

The new and sometimes nervous learners find the safety of our complex easier to handle, especially with our experienced instructors on hand to guide them through the learning process.		 Training In Mechanics

There is no requirement for learners to hold a learner permit at the centre, but these can be arranged during office hours.

These courses are held on a regular basis and during school holidays. Courses are ideal for young people just starting to drive or thinking about getting a Learner Permit. We can also provide a "parents" session to help you understand the "log book" and provide some updates on road law.

At the end of this learner course students should be able to start, steer and stop the vehicle, as well as complete a hand brake start without assistance. Rates for these courses are available from the office. (03) 9725 4758.

  Schools Driver Ed. Program
More than 60 schools are now taking advantage of pre-licence courses at METEC. The centre offers a complete introduction to driving including sessions on road law, road craft as well as practical sessions on our road system.

The centre is an off road complex offering the safest facilities for students to learn the basics of driving without the inherent dangers of today's roads. The instructors are of the highest calibre and are considered some of the best in the industry.

The course can be modified to suit various school requirements in regard to times or subject matter. For instance, courses can be arranged during the evening to give the students a feel for night driving or school holidays.

We pride ourselves on our record for safety and this is borne out of more than 60 schools now attending the centre on a regular basis.
