At METEC we've been busy preparing for 2016. We have courses running up until 21st of December before we close for the Christmas/New Year break on the 23rd of December and we will re open on Monday the 4th of January 2016.
We hosted the annual Driver of the Year Award in November and it was fantastic to see 2 local students take out podium places. The two local students have come 1st and 3rd in a road safety and driving skills competition with our 2nd place winner coming from Charlton, Regional Victoria.
Every year students who attend METEC schools’ driver training courses select their 10 best student drivers to have a drive-off against each other. The competition is supported by METEC and Charlton Driving School and represents the fun part of a very important educational program, which is open to all schools in Victoria.
On Sunday some of the best young people competed in areas including: Road Law, Driving Skills, Road Safety awareness and driving attitude.
The winners were in order: Hamish Bartlett – Holmesglen- Will Fitzpatrick from Charlton, Regional Victoria – Gemma Krueger – Monbulk
The winning drivers received cash prizemoney for their efforts and the school of the winning driver receives $500.00. Congratulations to everyone involved as it was a hugely successful event.
